Chondra Webster Myers

Chondra Webster Myers is not a typical business owner.

Her background includes an education in marketing, and work history of business development for two of the largest general contracting firms in Atlanta, and devastating personal losses resulting in bankruptcy, single motherhood to three young daughters, and an emotional rock bottom.

Chondra has persevered to not only overcome each struggle but in just four years, she has built the largest minority-owned, woman-owned Interior general contracting company (MWBE) in the state of Georgia. And most importantly, she has done it all with an unshakable mission of supporting other minority and women-owned businesses.

Chondra’s journey includes being a Director of Business Development for a leading Modular Interior Construction Firm with an industry-disrupting business model. That model required her to think outside of the box, and thoughtfully manage the process of connecting subcontractors and the clients to the project. She excelled at finding ways to bring this ground-breaking method of construction to fruition by brainstorming and problem-solving with the subcontractors while also finding ways to explain the benefits and value to the clients.

Her next position led her to work in the same capacity for a prominent woman-owned general contracting firm. It was in this position that Chondra started to see the differences, as well as the imitations, of being a woman in a largely male-led industry. She became determined to do things differently, to do things better, and to do them being a Black woman. She learned every facet of every part of a construction project and made it her mission to find the most cost-efficient way to produce the highest quality product. Her integrity and knowledge were noticed, and she landed clients such as Starbucks, Kaiser Permanente, and Grady Hospital while also becoming a sought-after consultant for her connections and experience.

In her final position as an employee, Chondra worked for one of the largest minority-owned general contractors in the United States. Her mandate was to find standalone projects for the firm she represented. After turning in bids that were substantially more expensive than her competitors, she set out to learn why. Operation “Be Competitive” was born. It was then that one of her top values was formed. She dug into the core of Operations and Estimating to try and identify the issue.

In 2016, Chondra opened the doors to WEBMyers Construction. Chondra has been certified by numerous organizations such as the Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council, Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, City of Atlanta African-American Business Enterprise, and many more (listed below). Recently, WEBMyers Construction has been recognized as the largest minority-owned, woman-owned Interior general contracting company in Georgia.

Chondra’s value system is clear, and WEBMyers Construction operations are fueled by three indelible tenets: delivering the highest quality results; in the most cost-efficient way possible; while supporting minority-owned subcontractors with a minimum revenue spend of 20% and a goal revenue spend of 30% or more for every project. Chondra personally values integrity and inclusiveness, and the mom in her makes sure every single person connected to her is nurtured and supported. She is on a mission to do things differently and to create a new normal in her industry, all while maintaining a serious work ethic and doing every single thing joyfully.

Today, Chondra is happily married and lives with her husband and their combined family of five children. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, bowling, and tennis.
